Need for Diverse & Local Staff
Global Edge engaged with a client who is one of the largest private developer, owner, and operator of independent power plants in Africa and needed to ensure that nothing was left to chance with appointment of their senior management team in Mozambique.
The Solution
Following an extensive mapping exercise, the Global Edge developed a staffing plan for project-critical senior management who were pivotal to the success of the project in Mozambique. Global Edge deployed our executive search team to manage the recruitment process on an exclusive basis.
Global Edge also assisted our client with advisory services including legal, financial, and local government requirements relating to engagement of personnel under the framework of Mozambican employment legislation.
Global Edge worked in tandem with our client to develop a staffing plan for the various phases of project execution that included a strong focus on recruiting qualified Mozambican women to fill roles. Global Edge ensured priority was given to Mozambican personnel but was also able to identify skilled specialists from other regional countries and European subject matter experts with extensive experience on similar size projects globally. Our global mobility team ensured the smooth transition of the personnel handling immigration, flights, malaria control policy education and adherence, local transportation, local accommodations, and Portuguese lessons as required.
