Role Overview:
The Manager, Industrial Tool Equipment Rentals is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of tools and equipment within a rental operation. This includes acquisition, maintenance, inventory control, utilization optimization, and safe, compliant operation. The role also carries full P&L responsibility, ensuring the rental division operates efficiently, profitably, and in alignment with organizational goals. The ideal candidate brings strong financial discipline, operational expertise, and leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial & Operational Management
- Oversee the rental department’s P&L, monitor KPIs and make data-driven decisions to maximize profitability.
- Develop and manage budgets for equipment purchasing, maintenance, and repairs.
- Analyze cost trends and identify opportunities to improve financial performance and operational efficiency.
Equipment & Inventory Management:
- Lead the acquisition, tracking, and deployment of tools and equipment to ensure high utilization and ROI.
- Manage the daily check-in/check-out workflow, ensuring accurate scheduling, billing, and documentation.
- Identify underutilized assets and coordinate resale, redeployment, or disposal strategies.
- Maintain complete inventory records, including serial numbers, purchase data, and maintenance history.
- Conduct periodic physical inventories and investigate discrepancies, including missing or damaged items.
Maintenance & Safety:
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules to keep all tools and equipment in safe, reliable condition.
- Coordinate internal and external repairs, ensuring timely resolution.
- Conduct and document safety inspections to meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
- Ensure strict adherence to OSHA and company safety standards.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Supervise rental staff, equipment operators, and support personnel.
- Provide training on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with operations, purchasing, logistics, and project management teams to align equipment resources with organizational needs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in industrial equipment rental, tool management, construction, industrial services, or related environments.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.

Technical Skills:
