POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking an experienced Guidance, Navigation & Control (GN&C) Engineer IV to support advanced spacecraft and satellite programs within a highly classified aerospace and defense environment. This role is responsible for supporting optical Line of Sight (LOS) jitter analysis, spacecraft controller design, disturbance modeling, and GN&C subsystem development supporting precision pointing spacecraft systems. The ideal candidate has strong experience with spacecraft GN&C architectures, LOS modeling and analysis, MATLAB/Simulink simulation environments, and advanced spacecraft dynamics supporting mission-critical space systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Serve as subject matter expert (SME) supporting optical Line of Sight (LOS) jitter analysis for precision pointing spacecraft

• Support GN&C subsystem development activities for multiple satellite platforms including LM400 and LM2100 systems

• Develop and verify spacecraft simulation models utilizing MATLAB/Simulink, C++, and related simulation environments

• Support spacecraft controller design and optimization activities for advanced space systems

• Perform disturbance modeling, dynamics analysis, damping analysis, and time/frequency domain analysis activities

• Support spacecraft jitter testing, dynamometer testing, and LOS accuracy budget development

• Participate in requirements flow down, early program design activities, structural analysis, and systems engineering efforts

• Support finite element modeling and uncertainty factor analysis related to spacecraft performance

• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams supporting spacecraft integration, verification, testing, and mission operations

• Support spacecraft GN&C lifecycle activities including requirements generation, design, analysis, integration, verification, testing, and operational support

• Contribute to highly collaborative aerospace engineering teams supporting advanced national security space systems

• Communicate complex technical issues effectively with engineering teams, customers, management, and stakeholders

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Basic Qualifications

• Advanced domain experience supporting spacecraft controller design and optimization

• Experience developing and verifying simulation models utilizing MATLAB/Simulink, C++, or related simulation environments

• Advanced domain expertise supporting LOS modeling and analysis

• Specialized experience supporting optical LOS jitter analysis for precision pointing spacecraft

• Active Top Secret Security Clearance required prior to start

• U.S. Citizenship required

Additional Qualifications

• Experience with CORESIM simulation environments

• Experience supporting flight software development and autocode generation utilizing C++ and Python

• Experience supporting Attitude Determination and Kalman Filter development activities

• Multi-body dynamics and spacecraft dynamics modeling experience

• Familiarity with GN&C hardware suites supporting space applications

• Experience supporting LOS accuracy budgets, disturbance modeling, and finite element modeling

• Experience supporting full spacecraft program lifecycle activities including design, integration, verification, testing, and mission operations

• Strong communication and collaboration skills within fast-paced aerospace engineering environments

• Experience supporting highly classified aerospace, satellite, or national security programs preferred
