Our client, one of the world’s leading companies in business solutions and technology, is looking to appoint a successful Commercial Director to be based in Maputo.

JOB DIMENSIONS

Commercial Strategy & Business Growth

•    Develop and execute the commercial strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives.

•    Lead the identification and development of new business opportunities across banking, financial services, telecommunications, government, and corporate sectors.

•    Drive sustainable revenue growth and profitability across all business units.

•    Establish market expansion plans and strategic growth initiatives.

•    Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and commercial forecasting.

Banking Solutions Leadership

•    Lead commercial activities related to banking technology and financial solutions.

•    Develop strategic relationships with banks, financial institutions, fintech companies, and payment solution providers.

•    Promote solutions related to payment systems, transactional services, ATM/POS solutions, treasury services, and financial technology infrastructure.

•    Understand client operational requirements and propose innovative business solutions.

Security Printing & Managed Print Services

•    Oversee commercial operations related to security printing, high-security documentation, packaging, offset printing, digital printing, and managed print services.

•    Develop commercial opportunities within government institutions, financial entities, educational institutions, and corporate organizations.

•    Ensure alignment between client expectations, production capabilities, and service delivery standards.

•    Promote innovation and modernization within the printing and document security business.

Strategic Partnerships & Client Management

•    Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners, suppliers, and clients.

•    Lead commercial negotiations, tenders, contract management, and partnership agreements.

•    Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth.

•    Represent the company at industry events, business forums, and strategic meetings.

•    Lead, mentor, and develop the commercial, sales, and business development teams.

•    Establish performance targets and monitor commercial KPIs.

•    Foster a high-performance, innovative, and customer-centric culture.

•    Collaborate with operational, technical, and finance teams to ensure business alignment and successful project execution.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or related field.

•    Master’s Degree or MBA is an advantage.

•    Minimum of 10 years of commercial leadership experience.

•    Proven experience within the banking industry is mandatory.

•    Strong experience in printing services, secure printing, or related commercial operations.

•    Demonstrated success in business development and strategic planning.

•    Experience managing large client portfolios and high-value commercial contracts.

•    Strong understanding of market analysis, financial planning, and commercial negotiations.
