Our client, a leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Resettlement Data and Compensation Supervisor to be based in Afungi.
JOB DIMENSIONS
The DW Installation Engineer (Flexible and Reel Lay) reports to the Deep Water Lead and is accountable for the installation engineering of the Deep Water Flexible and Reel lay installation scopes of work completed by the EPCI Contractor (MTV).
Planned to be stationed on board the one of the Contractor construction vessels during the pipelay and flexibles installation operations in Mozambique.
The job holder shall assume responsibility for installation engineering (constructability, readiness, procedures and plans, risk assessment, etc.) of the scopes working in conjunction with his counterparts in the MTV Consortium. They shall work closely with the other Installation Analysis engineer(s) to ensure consistency of approach exists across both the different scopes of work and that the interfaces are managed appropriately.
ACTIVITIES
- Ensure safe, on time and within budget delivery of the flexible and reel-lay related elements of the EPCI scope of work whilst ensuring a high level of quality consistent with a project design life of 30 years.
- Monitor and manage all facets of work within the flexible and reel-lay scope of work to ensure that schedule, technical, quality and HSES requirements are, as a minimum, met or improved upon.
- Oversee a readiness process to ensure progressive documented preparation is made by both Contractor and Company teams towards the start of site activities.
- Inform the Deep-Water Lead of issues which present a significant threat to the Project and in addition offer mitigating measures / work plans.
- Provide reporting function towards Deep Water Lead for the flexible and reel-lay installation activities.
- Define, monitor and manage work tasks with external consultants and contractors as required.
- Ensure all marine spread inspection, vetting and follow-up activities are satisfactorily carried out and MWS are engaged in that process.
- Interfacing to ensure that impacts of co-activities are properly managed and minimized.
- Ensure identification and resolution of detailed interface issues, in conjunction with other discipline engineers, in an efficient and timely manner.
- Ensure, in conjunction with project HSE department, that all deep water scope of work activities is performed in compliance with a high regard to Health, Safety, Security and Environmental requirements.
- Ensure that the flexible and reel-lay scopes of work activities are performed in compliance with a high regard to Quality Assurance and Control.
Context and environment
- US $20 Billion investment, 17,000-acre LNG facility site that includes private airstrip, marine facilities, and 18 subsea wells - 5-year construction period, delivered utilizing a staff of 1500+ employees and contractors based in Houston, Milan, Paris, Singapore and Mozambique
- 12.88 MTPA from? 2 Initial Trains? - 25-year production period
- Mozambique LNG is a DW subsea (1,400m) to shore dry gas field development located in the norther part of Mozambique
- The subsea field will be developed via 18 subsea wells, 7-production manifolds, 1-MEG manifold, 3 x 22in trunk lines, four MEG pipelines (4”, 6”, 8”), 18 x 10in in-field flowlines, , associated ILTs and PLETs for all pipelines and flowlines, 25 control modules, 4 onshore umbilicals, 2 main tie-back umbilicals, 5 in-field umbilicals, 12 UTA assemblies, approx. 200x flying leads, 48 x 10” flexible jumpers, rigid jumpers and spools.
Accountabilities
- Installation engineering of all DW flexible and reel lay scopes during the project preparation and execution phases.
- Safe and on time delivery of the DW flexible and reel lay scopes of work within the EPCI Contract whilst ensuring a high level of quality consistent with a project design life of 30 years.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in engineering of large scale EPCI contracts including DW flexibles, reel-lay and structure installation scopes.
- Experienced and able to assess and analyze an installation spread, contractors’ capabilities and challenge the robustness of their overall execution planning to deliver the installation campaign.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in general offshore installation aspects as they relate to flexibles, reeled pipelines and structures installation.
- Able to oversee and judge interfaces with deep water installation vessels and general offshore construction works.
- Ability to get along well with others in an international / multi-cultural environment and take a pragmatic approach to problem solving situations.
- Ability to multi-task and work as part of small and flexible team.
- Desire to take responsibility for own area of work and to hold self-accountable to deliver in accordance with responsibilities.
- Ability to manage interfaces between multiple contractors.
- Ability to develop good working relationships with contractors and contractor personnel and progress collaborative problem solving.
- Fluency in the English language. A bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent is required.
- Current BOSIET and OGUK medical.
