POSITION OVERVIEW:


This role is for an experienced Electronics Engineer III – Automated Test Equipment supporting a long-standing Fleet Ballistic Missile program and its ballistic missile flight test activities. The position focuses on electrical ground support equipment and automated test systems, covering the full lifecycle from requirements and configuration definition through design, procurement, build, test, and acceptance of complex electrical and electromechanical test systems.



RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


•    Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test, and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical automated test systems and integrated test equipment supporting a ballistic missile flight test program.


•    Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test, and verification of automated test systems, including data review and trending to ensure performance and reliability.


•    Develop hardware requirements from subsystem level down to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.


•    Interface with suppliers, customers, and internal design teams to provide cost? Effective, low? Risk solutions for test system needs.


•    Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors, and customers.


•    Create and update project and process documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements.


•    Support Failure Review Board activities as required and drive issues to closure.


•    Mentor junior engineers and interface extensively with customers as well as senior leadership.


•    Travel to and work at alternate work sites as required (typically less than 25%).



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:


•    Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.


•    Professional hardware development experience.


•    Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or similar test systems.


•    Experience with interconnect design.


•    Experience in one or more of the following tools: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, PSpice.


•    Experience leading project teams and development efforts.


•    Ability to work autonomously and drive tasks and issues to closure.


•    Experience with the full product lifecycle (development, deployment, retirement).


•    Experience with issue tracking tools and processes.


•    Capability to lead a team responsible for development and testing integrated test systems, including serving as a subject matter engineer or equivalent technical leader.


•    Experience with telemetry data processing (TDP).


•    Experience working with RF systems.


•    Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate small, diverse teams in the development of technical products.


•    Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentation.


•    Experience troubleshooting system level issues.


•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
