Our team is currently looking for an
ES&HTechnical Analyst for one of our clients in the Mining Industry.The purpose of this role is to collect, study and analyze project and GBU ES&H data, to assist in the development and implementation of improvement efforts to support various ES&H functions in the areas of incident prevention, learning and development, Craft Based Leadership (CBL) and Six Sigma. Duties require accuracy, judgment, initiative, and understanding of relevant ES&H processes, automation tools and associated supporting computer software.
Responsibilities & Essential Duties- Provide assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of company's ES&H program and ES&H Management System to aiding compliance with company's ES&H standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities
- Maintain ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
- Perform statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement Identifies and supports any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel Leads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues Prepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention
- Assists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reports
- Recommend and implement improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potential
- Participates in and may lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
- Research moderately complex issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice Provides support to ES&H field and office personnel, inclusive of all ES&H disciplines
- Requires a Bachelor’s (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience OR 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
- Technical knowledge of computer-based training development software.
- Technical knowledge of Adobe Suite Desktop publishing software, SharePoint web developer, FrontPage programming code, and Flash incorporation into training products.
- Good knowledge of computer artwork and web design packages.
- Knowledge of learning and development systems, applications of both ES&H and automation methods, and application of computers to associated process improvement tasks.
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to ES&H learning and development needs.
- Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication and in preparing clear and comprehensive correspondence.
- General knowledge of writing and producing training, marketing, and communication tools.
