Our team is currently looking for an
Offline Hydrographic Surveyor for one of our clients for a Direct Hire opportunity to support marine and offshore projects aboard company vessels operating along the U.S. East Coast. This role is responsible for quality control, processing, and delivery of survey data, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely reporting in support of project execution.This position involves
extended travel and vessel-based work. Lodging, meals, and transportation are fully provided while assigned to projects.Responsibilities & Essential Duties
- Inspect the quality of raw data as soon as it becomes available and notify Online Surveyor if it is not suitable for processing
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and production of data for delivery within stated deadlines to a high standard
- Management of time to prioritize processing tasks to meet project requirements and deadlines
- QC dataset at each stage of processing sequence to ensure data integrity
- Discuss requirements and final deliverables with Survey Party Chief on a regular basis to ensure process workflow is fit for purpose
- Adhere to company data management policy, ensure all processed data is backed up on both daily and weekly basis
- Create/amend charts if requirement of project including creation of project templates
- Prepare technical reports and production of data for delivery within stated deadlines to a high standard
- Keep processing logs up to date and record offsets used during processing
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications (Education, Experience, & Skills)
- Bachelor’s degree is preferably in Engineering or related field.
- Strong understanding of survey data processing, QC methodologies, and reporting standards
- Experience working with marine, hydrographic, or offshore survey data is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a vessel-based, team-oriented environment
