Our client, a global leading provider in the Energy industry, is looking to appoint a successful Contracts Engineer Business Services to be based in Maputo.
ACTIVITIES
The Job holder participates to the process of Contracts and Procurement entity by performing the following tasks:
• Work closely with the DUET to create the contracts dossier, develop a clear definition of contractual responsibilities and discuss the agenda
• Development of Contracting Strategy and issue Call for Tenders to find suitable expertise to support the different functions
• Negotiation and analysis of commercial bids
• Development of Recommendations To Award (RTA)
• Ensure the update of the contract management tool
• Keep informed of best practices in contracts procedures in other entities for improvement of contracts practices
• Identifying suitable expertise against existing frame contracts
• Develop technical contracts and contractual agreements, directly participate to the medium complexity contracts
• Leading the presentation of RTA to the Contracts Committee or the appropriate DOA approver with a common recommendation with DUET
• Assist C&P management in the settlement of claims and lawsuits, in relation with the Legal, Insurance, Finance and Management by proposing strategies and actions and participating to the negotiations
• Monitoring on-going contracts statuses, participate in contract renewal and amendments discussions
• Provide professional advice and guidance to all contract owners/entities with respect to contractual matters
• Take the necessary measures to avert immediate threat of danger. Exercising caution as necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations
• Participate actively in H3SE meetings, training sessions and drills and co-operate actively in the execution of H3SE plans.
• Be in constant alignment with H3SE Company rules, Procedures, Instructions and applicable legislation
Accountabilities• To produce contractual documents according to Company Procedure and ethics
• To provide a quality, cost-effective and time-consuming contracts service to Partner Entities
• To participate in the optimization of the economic performance of the operations conducted in TEPMA1
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• C&P competencies
• Mid-level in Contracts technical Competencies required
• C&P tools advanced certification required
• Good knowledge and understanding of commercial, legal and insurance issues affecting the company in general
• International Experience Requirement: Yes No
• Professional experience: 5-7 years in contracts within the Oil & Gas industry or similar
• Personal Abilities: Basic Management, Advanced Human Relations, Problem Solving and Planning / organizing / coordinating / controlling and
• Good command of English language and excellent communication skills.
