Aerospace & Defense
Aerospace & Defense Recruitment Agency
The aerospace and defense sectors run on technical complexity and regulatory scrutiny that most industries never face. A cleared defense contractor managing a multi-billion-dollar program faces different hiring pressure than a commercial OEM racing to cut time-to-production on a new platform, but both need workforce partners who understand the stakes and move at the program's pace.
Global Edge Group partners with prime contractors and emerging defense technology companies to source the engineering, program delivery, manufacturing, and technical operations talent that keeps programs moving. If you're scaling up for a major contract award or backfilling a flight test team mid-program, our aerospace and defense recruitment specialists bring the technical depth and network reach to deliver.
Your Aerospace & Defense Recruitment Partners
Commercial Aerospace & Aviation
Commercial aerospace spans the full production ecosystem: OEM program development, Tier supply chain management, MRO operations, and aerostructures manufacturing. The sector faces production ramp-up demands, narrowbody delivery backlogs, and an unclosed skills gap.
Composite manufacturing, precision machining, and additive manufacturing programs need a workforce that pairs trade-level technical proficiency with real awareness of quality management systems. Composite technicians, tooling engineers, NDT inspectors, and manufacturing process engineers are consistently hard to source at volume, and a misqualified hire on an AS9100-regulated production floor is costly.
On the MRO side, FAA-certificated A&P mechanics and avionics technicians work within tight turn-time environments. Quality inspectors face that same pressure, and a gap in any of these roles translates directly into AOG delays and airline schedule risk. Global Edge recruits across line maintenance, heavy maintenance, component overhaul, and engine MRO operations.
Defense Programs & Military Systems
Defense program hiring runs on constraints that define who can work, what they can work on, and how quickly they can be onboarded. Security clearances, ITAR compliance, DoD acquisition frameworks, and the long lifecycle of government-funded programs call for a recruitment partner with real domain experience. Access to a broad resume database isn’t enough.
Global Edge recruits across the full defense platform spectrum, covering fighter and rotorcraft programs, missile systems integration, naval shipbuilding, and ground force modernization. We know the workforce continuity issues that come with multi-decade programs and the sensitivities around classified work, and we understand the gap between a program manager who has navigated a Milestone B review and one who hasn’t.
Missile and weapons system programs demand cleared engineers with backgrounds in guidance, navigation, propulsion, or warhead integration. These profiles have a genuinely small addressable talent pool. Naval and land systems programs require professionals who understand the specific design, test, and sustainment cycles of their respective platforms. Global Edge operates discreetly and with full confidentiality protocols on all sensitive engagements.
Space, Satellites, & Emerging Platforms
The new space economy has compressed what once took decades into multi-year programs, and the workforce hasn’t kept pace. Launch vehicle developers, satellite manufacturers, defense space programs, and ground segment operators are all pulling from the same narrow pipeline of experienced space systems engineers, GNC specialists, and RF engineers. New entrants have upended salary benchmarks, and passive candidates increasingly hold market power in this segment.
The unmanned systems sector adds another wrinkle. UAS OEMs, tactical drone programs, and autonomous air vehicle developers need engineers who sit at the intersection of autonomy software, embedded systems, RF engineering, and flight dynamics, a combination that simply doesn’t exist in volume. Global Edge recruits for Group 3–5 UAS platforms, tactical drone programs, loitering munition systems, and maritime UAS applications.
Advanced Air Mobility and hypersonic development sit at the front of the defense and aerospace investment cycle, alongside directed energy programs. These programs compete with Silicon Valley for software and AI talent while also requiring deep domain knowledge in propulsion, aerodynamics, or high-energy systems. Global Edge supports DARPA-adjacent programs, OEM advanced development labs, and early-stage aerospace technology companies scaling their founding technical teams.
Defense Technology, Electronics, & Cyber
Defense electronics, avionics, and mission systems are a persistent talent gap across the sector. DO-178C-compliant software engineers, FPGA designers, embedded systems developers, radar hardware engineers, and EW specialists are hard to place at pace, and the regulatory environment (DAL levels, CMMC compliance, NSS requirements) means qualification matters as much as sourcing.
Cyber and intelligence work adds another layer of clearance sensitivity. Cyber defense analysts and intelligence systems engineers, along with AI/ML engineers working on defense applications, need both technical depth and an active clearance, and that combination quickly shrinks the addressable candidate pool. Global Edge maintains networks of cleared professionals across relevant technical disciplines and understands the protocols required to engage them appropriately.
Global Edge recruits for defense electronics OEMs, avionics integrators, EW system developers, mission systems prime contractors, and federal cyber and intelligence programs. Our technical screening process is calibrated to the specific requirements of each engagement.

Case Study
Recruitment Partner for Aerospace & Defense Client
A major aerospace and defense organization supporting government space contracts, including national security space launch programs and fleet ballistic missile programs needed staffing support for its space division. The client was scaling against mission-critical timelines and needed to fill 1,400 engineering roles, 150 of them high-priority, spanning systems, electrical, mechanical, electronics, RF, and design disciplines at the mid-to-late-career level. Nearly every role required a security clearance or clearance eligibility, with many requiring Top Secret. The client found that RF engineering talent was especially hard to find, and needed senior engineers at volume who met both the technical bar and the clearance bar, a combination that narrows the available pool considerably.
The Solution
Global Edge built a dedicated space division talent partnership centered on cleared and clearance-eligible engineering talent.
Our approach relied on a few core pieces working together:
- We sourced cleared and clearance-eligible candidates at scale through high-volume, targeted outreach, generating more than 9,000 outreach messages per week.
- We paired our internal candidate database with active external sourcing to create a dual-pool sourcing model to widen the pipeline for harder disciplines, particularly RF engineering.
- We recruited across systems, electrical, mechanical, electronics, RF, infrastructure, software, and design engineering at the same time, giving the client one coordinated search with engineering discipline coverage instead of several fragmented ones.
- We screened for clearance status or eligibility before any other step using clearance-first vetting, so candidates presented to the client were immediately viable and later hiring stages moved faster.
The Outcome
The partnership has developed into a high-trust engagement. The client has given strong feedback on the quality and relevance of candidate submissions, directly resulting from matching clearance status to discipline before making an introduction.
Work that started with space division support has now opened conversations about supporting other parts of the client’s business. The relationship continues to grow, and Global Edge remains positioned as a long-term staffing partner for this account.
I have genuinely enjoyed my experience with the organization, and everyone I interacted with was consistently professional, supportive, and a pleasure to work with.
