Our client is a provider of waste management for oil & gas, is looking to appoint a successful Senior Operations Plant Treatment Supervisor to be based in Pemba.
The candidate must be able to monitor the operational performance of treatment facilities, participate in maintenance activities and contribute to improving their performance and reliability.
• Knowledge of industrial operations and treatment facilities;
• Understanding of physic-chemical treatment processes;
• Basic knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Ability to monitor operating parameters and identify anomalies;
• Compliance with operational procedures, HSE requirements and safety instructions;
• Ability to work as part of a team and monitor operational activities.
• Higher technical diploma (two-year post-secondary qualification) in one of the following fields:
• Water Engineering and Treatment Processes, with knowledge of chemistry;
• Industrial Maintenance;
• Electromechanics.
• Proven experience in project management, preferably within waste management or logistics.
• Strong understanding of waste handling, storage, and compliance requirements.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
• Practical mindset and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and respond effectively to operational issues.
• Ability to supervise a team, depending on the level of responsibility of the position.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

PORPUSE OF ROLE:
Senior Operations Plant Treatment Supervisor with a higher technical qualification and skills in water treatment, industrial chemistry, industrial maintenance or electromechanics.The candidate must be able to monitor the operational performance of treatment facilities, participate in maintenance activities and contribute to improving their performance and reliability.
ACTIVITIES
• Experience in operating water treatment plants, industrial effluent treatment facilities or liquid waste treatment installations will be considered an asset.• Knowledge of industrial operations and treatment facilities;
• Understanding of physic-chemical treatment processes;
• Basic knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance;
• Ability to monitor operating parameters and identify anomalies;
• Compliance with operational procedures, HSE requirements and safety instructions;
• Ability to work as part of a team and monitor operational activities.
QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCED REQUIRED
• Bachelor’s degree in project management, Logistics, Environmental Management, or related field.• Higher technical diploma (two-year post-secondary qualification) in one of the following fields:
• Water Engineering and Treatment Processes, with knowledge of chemistry;
• Industrial Maintenance;
• Electromechanics.
