Our client, one of the world’s leading companies in the construction industry, is looking to appoint a successful Senior Recruiter to be based in Maputo.

KEY ACTIVITIES

•    Partner closely with the HR Manager sourcing, interviewing, selection, and hiring processes.

•    Analyze and fully understand technical and professional job requirements.

•    Develop tailored sourcing and search strategies for each vacancy.

•    Create and manage recruitment funnels, tactics, and procedures to ensure timely hiring.

•    Prepare recruitment materials and post vacancies on job boards, company website, print media, social media, universities, and other relevant platforms.

•    Source candidates using internal databases, social media, professional networks, educational institutions, associations, and direct outreach.

•    Expand candidate pipelines through cold and warm calling.

•    Pre-screen applications to assess candidate suitability, interest, and availability.

•    Conduct phone, virtual, and in-person interviews to evaluate technical competence, experience, and cultural fit.

•    Perform and follow up on candidate reference checks.

•    Use reference checks strategically to identify and attract additional talent.

•    Act as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the recruitment process, ensuring professional and positive candidate experience.

•    Submit shortlisted candidates to the responsible Account Manager or hiring stakeholder.

•    Follow up on recruitment progress and provide regular status updates.

•    Build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, candidates, and internal staff.

•    Maintain, manage, and regularly update the internal candidate database.

•    Review recruitment software and recommend suitable tools aligned with company needs.

•    Represent the company at job fairs, career events, and recruitment initiatives.

•    Build and strengthen the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, industry contacts, and partners.

•    Leverage association memberships and social media to enhance talent attraction.

•    Conduct employee inductions and support onboarding processes.

•    Organize and support employee engagement activities, including birthdays and work anniversaries.

QUALIFICATIONS

•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

•    Minimum of 5–8 years’ experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in an agency and/or corporate environment.

•    Proven experience recruiting technical and professional roles across multiple functions and seniority levels.

•    Strong knowledge of end-to-end recruitment processes, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, reference checks, and onboarding.

•    Hands-on experience using ATS/recruitment software, job boards, and social media platforms for talent sourcing.

•    Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sourcing strategies and build sustainable talent pipelines.

•    Experience working closely with hiring managers, account managers, and senior stakeholders.
