Position Overview:

Global Edge is seeking a Site Representative for a 12-month assignment with a major Oil and Gas Company, with potential for extension. The Service Site Representative shall be the company representative at the construction yard which includes management of the team based at the construction yard, support fabrication requirements (follow up on the vendors on site, the technical queries, review construction progress, and identify deviations), respond to site technical queries with the support of the engineering team, and local focal point with Contractor at the site (construction yard) for technical, security, and safety coordination.


Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Services will organize the coordination and contractual follow-up with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Engineering Manager, QAQC Manager, and PCM:

  • Prepare, organize, manage, follow-up, and control, all the activities related to the fabrication, and construction of equipment/facilities on fabrication sites managed by the Subsea EPCI Contractor

  • Assist in identifying any deviation, materials deliveries, and shortages, additional materials procurement, required vendors mobilization, third party requirements

  • Develop and organize close follow-up for material and equipment storage, transportation, preservation, and allocation to the construction contractor

  • Review the progress of the site execution during construction

  • Closely monitor the schedule and act as an “interface” between the procurement and construction phases

  • Assist in checking the progress and schedule in order to achieve the completion dates as per the contract

  • Compile fabrication progress of the fabrication site and ensure adequate and timely reporting to the Construction Manager (progress, concerns) and Project Manager, and, in a general manner, anticipates problems, optimizes, improves, and offers solutions with regard to his discipline

  • Participate to meetings with Contractors & Subcontractors on construction matters

  • Monitor, consolidate, and communicate the progress of the construction yard he is responsible for

  • Contribute to maximizing the NPV value of the project by finding means to increase quality and productivity and/or decrease investments

  • Organize the technical, QA/QC, and HSE audits associated with the construction yard

  • Participate in the review of the QA/QC, H3SEQ, subcontracting, and technical procedures dedicated to the construction of the yard

  • Gather “lessons learned” and provide feedback to the Project team, in particular to the Construction Manager.


H3SEQ:
  • The Service is accountable for demonstrating exemplary behavior with regard to H3SEQ rules and requirements and for ensuring that H3SEQ requirements are duly implemented within her/his area of responsibility, in accordance with the contract and applicable regulations.

  • Maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with all relevant Statutory and Company H3SEQ standards.

  • Will have to contribute to H3SEQ permanent performance improvement and will have to participate actively in an ambitious H3SEQ culture deployment.

  • Actively participate in Company safety awareness and initiative schemes.


Qualifications:
  • Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience in the oil and gas industry, especially in SURF

  • Experience in a major EPCI Project

  • Able to identify, analyze, and solve problems (HSE, technical, procurement, transportation, storage and preservation, engineering, construction, quality control, schedule, costs..)

  • Construction background

  • Strong communications skills

  • Able to work as part of a team and able to accept strong responsibility

  • Willing to contribute and adhere to the Safety and Environment requirements of the Project

  • Experienced with a proper technical level of understanding of all the disciplines involved

  • Organizational skills and positive attitude but able to raise and defend her/his services in accordance with the Contract requirements

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Portuguese.


Work Conditions:
  • Onshore and offshore rates: offshore missions are expected during the performance of the services

  • Location will be based at construction yards of EPCI Contractor for SURF scope: Fabrication is sub-contracted for buoyancy tank/top & bottom assemblies, foundation, PLET & ILT, LBMS, SPS

  • Locations might be (not exhaustive): Santíssimo, Vespasiano, Aracruz, Serra, Ponta d’Areia, Santos, Guaruja area

  • Contract duration: 12 months with potential extension on a monthly basis.
