Position Overview

We are seeking HSE Supervision Services. Services for HSE Supervision Service is responsible, within the COMPANY Project team and under the Yard Company Site Representative Supervision, for following up, monitoring, and supervising HSSE activities carried out by Contractor and Subcontractor(s) on construction Yards, ensuring that HSSE contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by Contractor and Subcontractor(s).


Responsibilities and Essential Duties:
  • Adopt and demonstrate exemplary behavior with regard to Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and HSSE rules and regulations.

  • Ensure promotion and implementation by the Construction team of the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy.

  • Keep informed of Company Referential (CR, GS, and GM), and international standards related to his area of responsibility, taking knowledge from them for application to the Project.

  • Liaise actively with the Operation Safety Leader in order to be kept informed of changes related to HSSE matters impacting his area of responsibility.

  • Develop, as required, HSSE specific instructions at the Construction Yard.

  • Participate in the review of Contractor and Subcontractor(s) Project Site HSSE documentation applicable in the perimeter of the Construction Yard (Project Site HSSE plan, HIRA...) and verify their implementation by Contractor and Subcontractor(s).

  • Ensure promotion and implementation by the Construction team of the Project HSSE plan and procedures.

  • Verify that the Contractor and Subcontractor(s) enforce their contractual commitments, implement properly their HSSE plans, and perform safely their activities as per Company specifications, design, and codes.

  • Participate in KOM with Contractor/Subcontractors

  • Perform routine and random HSSE inspections on a daily basis in order to monitor Contractor/Subcontractors HSSE performance at the Construction Yard and ensure the follow-up of corrective actions

  • Report immediately to the Company Site Representative any anomaly, violation & unsafe practice

  • Interface with the relevant Construction team and Contractor’s HSSE site authority on HSSE issues

  • Attend and participate in daily meetings and Toolbox Talks

  • Participate in the regular HSSE Committee meetings & Safety Tours

  • Participate to HSSE specific audits or visits

  • Provide regular HSSE inspection & activity reports

  • Implement in close liaison with the Operation Safety Leader appropriate corrective actions

  • Participate in the implementation of Safety Campaigns and Safety Initiatives

  • Coordinate as much as necessary with the Operation Safety Leader so that at any moment the whole Company HSSE supervision is consistent.

  • Ensure the follow-up of tracking of anomalies, incidents, and accidents performed by the Contractor/Subcontractors and maintain required HSSE indicators (KPIs) for the project activities

  • Provide HSSE advises to the Construction team

  • Participate in the analysis/solving of HSSE issues and problems encountered by the Construction team

  • Implement HSSE methods for the supervision of day-to-day activities

  • Enforce decisions/directions taken at the Management level, as directed by the Operation Safety Leader

  • Liaise with the Operation Safety Leader with regards to HSSE areas of concern and problems encountered in the implementation of HSSE both by the Construction team and Contractor/Subcontractors.

  • Verify that proper accident and incident investigations are carried out (with root cause analysis when required) and recommendations are duly implemented,

  • Ensure confidentiality of all the documentation issued under his area of responsibility.

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in similar services

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Engineer or equivalent

  • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Portuguese

Work Conditions
  • Onshore and offshore rates: Offshore missions are expected during the performance of the services

  • Location will be based at construction yards of EPCI Contractor for SURF scope: Fabrication is sub-contracted for buoyancy tank/top & bottom assemblies, foundation, PLET & ILT, LBMS

  • Locations might be (not exhaustive): Santíssimo (RJ), Itaguaí (RJ), Vespasiano (MG), Aracruz (ES) e Guarujá (SP)

  • Contract duration: 16 months with potential extension on a monthly basis.
